    How much range can it cover in meters or feet ? Also I am looking for flood light where the camera can rotate for 0 to 180 degrees covering atleast 100 feet distance and the lights should get adjusted accordingly , i mean lights can also be adjusted. Please help on this.

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 2 дні тому

      The maximum range is 100 meters or 328 feet. However, if you need to install the cameras at further distances, you can use a long-range PoE+ switch. Supported by 4-pair technology, the long-range PoE+ ports can supply 30 watts of power even at a distance of 500 meters (when connected to a PoE extender). Product Link👉 www.fastcabling.com/product-category/long-range-poe-switches/ We don't have flood light cameras, but here are some of our recommendations: 1. Reolink Lumus PTZ Security Camera with Floodlight: 355° pan, 140° tilt, 4X optical zoom, 1800 lumens adjustable floodlight. 2. EZVIZ LC1C Smart Security Light Camera: 270° field of view, 2000 lumens adjustable floodlight, customizable motion zones.

    I thought it would have been easier if a wireless p2p was established from the Internet side to the factory. This is because there might not be room to run the 300M cable on the ground to power and data the WiFi 6

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 2 дні тому

      It's possible but you need a clear line of sight between two locations, otherwise, the signal integrity will be compromised. If you have enough space to run the cable, it can provide consistent and stable data transfer. Moreover, wired connections are immune to electromagnetic interference that can affect wireless signals.

      You can contact the manufacturer for an unlock code if there is any. Sometimes, the camera can only accept certain types of SIM cards, which are vendor-specific.

      Ensure that the new SIM card is compatible with the camera (e.g., correct size, network type). Some devices only support certain types of SIM cards (e.g., 4G LTE, 3G). Some devices can be unlocked by entering a code. You can contact the original carrier or the camera manufacturer to request an unlock code. If the manufacturer does not provide an unlock code, you might consider using a reputable third-party unlocking service.

    Hi, how do they connect street cameras to internet? Are Street cameras connected to any NVR?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 4 дні тому

      Wired cameras are connected via Ethernet cables to network switches, which are then connected to an NVR. The NVR records and manages the video feeds from all connected cameras. On the other hand, wireless cameras can connect to a wireless network, and the NVR, also on the same network, can receive and record video streams.

    Hi teacher, i follow you from Mali, i have a question. If Nvr password different for camera, it works?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 5 днів тому

      Yes, it will work. The NVR and the IP cameras can have different passwords. They are separate devices, and each has its own login credentials for security purposes. When adding cameras to the NVR, you will need to input the correct IP address, username, and password of each camera in the NVR setup interface. This allows the NVR to access and record the video feeds from the cameras despite having different passwords.

    How do assign static IP and how to do that online?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 7 днів тому

      First, you need to find the camera's current IP address. You can check your router’s connected devices list to find the IP address assigned to your camera. Then, open a web browser, enter the IP address of the camera, and log in with the camera’s admin credentials. Once logged in, go to the camera’s network settings section. Locate the option for IP address configuration. Select the option for a static IP address and enter the desired static IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers. Make sure the IP address is within the same range as your network and does not conflict with other devices. Example: IP Address: 192.168.1.100 (Make sure this is unique within your network) Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (typically your router’s IP address) DNS Server: 8.8.8.8 (Google’s DNS server) or your preferred DNS server Lastly, save and apply the settings.

    • @Faizymr
      @Faizymr 7 днів тому

      @@Fastcabling I assigned static IP within NVR NIC 1 that IP is allowed to the internet but it does not work for example 192.168.199.2 255.255.255.0 192.168.199.1 8.8.8.8

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 6 днів тому

      Please check: 1. The IP address is not in conflict with any other device on the network. 2. The default gateway is reachable from the camera’s subnet. 3. The DNS server is reachable to resolve domain names correctly.

    There is a problem here which is how to go to the settings of each NVR on the main screen without displaying it on the second screen, as the second screen should be for the displayed cameras only. How to fix that?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 8 днів тому

      In the display settings, you should see options for configuring the output for both monitors. Set the primary monitor (main screen) to display the administrative interface, and then set the secondary monitor to display the camera feeds only. Assign the main monitor as the "Control" or "Admin" screen, and the second monitor as the "Live View" or "Monitoring" screen.

      Thanks for the prompt response ! What I was referring to, was the LC connector polishing. LCs have different polishes of the connector - UPC(Ultra Physical Contact) and APC(Angled Physical Contact). Since it's not mentioned in the specifications, does that mean that this is irrelevant for SFPs. Thanks

    Although what you're showing is technically acceptable, as an engineer for a large switch manufacturer, I would not settle on media converters. Only in the rare case of retro-fitting and existing network with older Ethernet-only hardware... But, chances are, if you're upgrading to 10G speeds, you'll need to replace the hardware at each end for higher throughput and PPS... Instead I would use switches that support SFP (1G) or SFP+ (10G) directly. I would use SFP+ Transceivers in my switches, and Multimode fiber cables, as a less expensive solution, since distance up to 500m are possible.. If you need longer than 500m, then consider Single-mode transceivers and fiber cables..

    • @Fastcabling

      Yes, you can create a mesh network or use the WDS feature. First, navigate to the “Operation Mode” settings of the secondary EAP225 and select the “Repeater” or “Range Extender” mode. In the “Wireless” settings, set the SSID and security settings to match those of the main EAP225. This ensures seamless roaming between the two devices. Select the same channel or set it to auto to allow the EAP225 to choose the best channel.

    • @Fastcabling

      LAN cables come in various colors, and these colors do not affect their functionality. Different colors can help network administrators identify and manage cables easily. Common colors include blue, yellow, green, red, and white. For instance, blue cables might be used for data, while yellow might be used for PoE. There is no strict industry standard that dictates specific colors for specific purposes.

    How did the POE switch recognize each port from the camera to the NVR, kindly explain

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 9 днів тому

      The PoE switch operates based on standard networking protocols that allow connected devices to communicate with each other. Each IP camera obtains an IP address either via DHCP or static assignment. The camera sends video data packets through the Ethernet cable to the PoE switch. Then, the PoE switch forwards the data packets to the NVR based on the NVR’s IP address. The NVR is configured to recognize and manage the cameras by their IP addresses. When it receives the video streams from the cameras, it records the data and allows for live monitoring.

    What type of POE switch have you used on this setup? Managed or unmanaged?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 9 днів тому

      It's an unmanaged PoE switch. It has a plug-and-play setup with no configuration required, ideal for smaller networks. www.fastcabling.com/product-category/unmanaged-switches/ But if you want to create VLANs or prioritize traffic for certain PoE ports, you can use a managed PoE switch instead. It has advanced features such as VLANs, QoS, link aggregation, SNMP and access control lists (ACLs). www.fastcabling.com/product-category/l2-managed-switches/

      I'm afraid SAN is not our area of expertise, but thank you for your suggestions. We will definitely consider it.

    Can you please show me how to connect DH-XVR5104HS-4KL-13to dual monitor Thanks a lot from ADEN-YEMEM

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 9 днів тому

      The DH-XVR5104HS-4KL-13 typically has multiple video outputs, such as HDMI and VGA, which can be used to connect to different monitors. In the display settings menu, configure the output for each monitor. You may need to set the primary and secondary display or enable dual monitor mode. Ensure that both HDMI and VGA outputs are enabled.

    Thank you but I want to add a wireless access point to my poe nvr so I can add wireless cameras to my nvr. Can you please tell me how to do that?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 13 днів тому

      Hi, here's a general guideline for your reference: 1. Connect the Ethernet cable from one of the PoE ports on your NVR to the Ethernet port on the WAP. If the WAP supports PoE, it will get both power and data through the Ethernet cable. If not, you will need to power the WAP separately using its power adapter. 2. Configure the SSID (network name) and password for the WAP. Choose the appropriate WiFi channels and security settings. 3. Install and power up the wireless cameras. Use the camera’s configuration interface (often accessible through a mobile app or web browser) to connect the cameras to the SSID you set up on the WAP. 4. Navigate to the camera management section in the NVR’s interface. Select the option to add cameras manually or automatically search for devices on the network. Enter the IP addresses of the WiFi cameras, and provide any required login credentials for the cameras.

      @MRrwmac 13 днів тому

      Thank you VERY much. I’d rather not cause more conflict in WiFi since I’m already using two WiFi routers on different SSID’s in my house. The NVR i have already has 4 POE cameras connected and working great for many years. That NVR is connected to one of my wireless routers. That way I can view my 4 POE home security cameras worldwide. I connected the WiFi camera to that same router wirelessly but unfortunately my NVR will not recognize it. It is an ONVIF and IP camera. What can I do? Thank you

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 9 днів тому

      Well, here is something you can try. First, you need to find the IP address of the WiFi camera. Then, access and configure the WiFi camera’s settings for ONVIF. Add the WiFi camera to the NVR using the IP address and credentials. Once the camera is added, check the live view on your NVR to ensure the camera feed is visible. If it doesn't work, please verify there are no IP conflicts and the WiFi signal strength is sufficient for the camera. If the NVR does not recognize the camera, verify that both devices are fully ONVIF-compliant and support the same ONVIF profile (usually Profile S for streaming).

    • @MRrwmac
      @MRrwmac 8 днів тому

      @@Fastcabling I did try all that previously, however your last point about confirming ONVIF profile S. I’m unable to locate that particular setting in my NVR Camera settings. Thank You very much for your expert guidance!

    Uplink Port to Regular Port, or Uplink to Uplink Port, which the best?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 16 днів тому

      If high bandwidth is needed between the two switches (e.g., for high data transfer rates or many connected devices), uplink to uplink is often preferred. In this case, we connected uplink to uplink using fiber connections to maximize throughput (10Gbps).

    Confused, why use the rj45 converter to fiber at the router, vs just using an sfp+ to rj45 10G or 1G transceiver module at the switch side? I guess maybe depends on how easy it is to run the fiber vs cat6, shouldnt be a speed difference?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 19 днів тому

      That's because the router doesn't have a fiber/SFP slot. The media converter is used to convert electrical siganls to optical signals, and vice versa.

    • @markm75
      @markm75 19 днів тому

      @@FastcablingI assumed the RJ45 converter transceivers were bi directional so you could run cat 5 or cat 6 to the router

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling 18 днів тому

      Yes, they can convert Ethernet signals from copper (RJ45) to fiber and from fiber back to copper (RJ45). You can run a Cat5/6 cable to the router and connect the media converters using the fiber optic cable.
